To uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America;

To maintain law and order;

To foster and perpetuate a one hundred percent Americanism;

To preserve the memories and incidents of our associations in the Great Wars;

To inculcate a sense of individual obligation to the community, state and nation;

To combat the autocracy of both the classes and the masses;

To make right the master of might;

To promote peace and goodwill on earth;

To safeguard and transmit to posterity the principles of justice, freedom and democracy;

To consecrate and sanctify our comradeship by our devotion to mutual helpfulness.

Since our charter in (year), our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble above.

April 29, 2018 – Hat Decorating Party 2-5 pm

This year Cinco de Mayo and the Kentucky Derby are on the same day, so we will be celebrating both! Make plans to come decorate your hat with us.  Cost is $5 and includes a hat (sombrero, sun hat or cowboy hat), flowers and ribbons.  You can also bring your own decorations.  Then wear your hat to the party on May 5th, where there will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prize given out at 6 pm.  See bartender for sign up by April 22nd.

May 5, 2018 – Derby de Mayo 2-8 pm

Come watch the running of the 144th Kentucky Derby and celebrate Cinco de Mayo at the same time! There will be mint julep and margarita specials, food (please bring a dish to share), games…and of course, the race.  Post time is 6:34 pm and the horses run at 6: 46 pm.
